For me, the Gecko is not just a symbol of perseverance, regrowth, intuition and uniqueness. It is a symbol that has bonded me with my family for years.
Growing up in Ontario as a child, we would often vacation to Mexico, and we were fascinated by the geckos that always seemed to be wherever we were. One year, my sister, mother and I all decided to get Henna tattoos of geckos. For years afterwards, my mother still recalled the memory of our bonding tattoo experience, so for her 60th birthday, we decided to surprise her and get all of us permanent tattoos of a gecko. The three of us now sport a small gecko on our left ankle. A year later, my dad also got a gecko tattoo on his arm. My mother has been so proud of this symbol that we all share together- a reminder of our constant connection to each other.
After working for many years in the restaurant industry, as well as hotels, cruise ships, and other industries that required excruciating detail, I decided that I needed to run my own business that allowed me the freedom to fully express the passion that I had for people and professional service, as well as incorporate my intense love and commitment to preserving mother earth. It was my yoga teacher that first suggested I try out housecleaning. After realizing that housecleaning gave me the opportunity to work on my own, keep me active, and provide people with the stress relief of having their homes looked after, I decided that I wanted to pursue it full time and that this would be the outlet I needed to run my own business.
One year, and many happy customers later, I am glad that this is what I have decided to pursue, because it has given me much more joy and satisfaction then I ever thought possible. It is my greatest pleasure to help you create positive life changes, whether it’s having the relief of knowing that your family is living in a clean home, having more time to spend with them, or just being able to take a few minutes to yourself to relax.
